2026 Meister von Bier

 "Meister von Bier" generally translates to "Master of Beer" in English. It signifies a person who is a master, expert, or champion of brewing or beer quality. 

• Meister: Means "master," "champion," or "expert".
• von: Means "of" or "from".
• Bier: Means "beer"

You may enter into two categories: Specialty or Open. 

This category will be judged by the 2021 BJCP Style Guidelines under section 5D German Pils.

Overall Impression: A pale, dry, bitter German lager featuring a prominent hop aroma. Crisp, clean, and refreshing,  showing a brilliant gold color with excellent head retention.  

Any and all styles are welcome under this category and will be judged in accordance with the 2021 BJCP Style Guidelines. Please be sure and clearly state what section/subsection your entry should be judged by.

Each Category will receive cash prizes based on the number of entries participating. The winner of the Specialty Category : German Pils will also be brewed with Brazos Valley Brewing Co and be featured on their tap wall. 

Each entry to be judged will need to have a separate entry form (see below) with the style guideline clearly marked, along with (3) unmarked, capped bottles submitted for judges tasting. *Similar to the picture above. Sorry growlers will not be accepted. 

Entry Fees: $10 first entry, $5 each additional entry.
