Who we are
The Zythological Society of North America, TX Chapter was established in 2015 with the mission of fostering the responsible enjoyment and appreciation of beer while promoting education, fellowship and community involvement. Through social gatherings, education opportunities, charitable fundraising and public events, the Zythological Society seeks to bring people together, support local businesses and make a positive contribution to the community. Guided by its founding principles of friendship, responsibility, education and goodwill, the Zythological Society strives to create welcoming experiences that strengthen the community connections while supporting local charitable initiatives.
As a 501c3 organization we have created a way to enjoy our love of the cold and foamy with others and give back to our community. You might say we're a beer club with a GIVING problem.
Check our our GIVING page to see all the organizations we've given to over the years.
From Ancient Greek ζῦθος (zûthos, “beer”) + -λογία (-logía, “study”)
zythological - relating to the study of beer and beer-brewing
Yes, Zythology is a real word. However, we can find no prior use of the word Zythological. We thought it would make a good scrabble word. If they can make biological from biology, then why not us.

We are a group of enthusiasts who like to enjoy beer and discuss all things beer. We meet monthly to try new beers and catch up on local beer events and topics.
